- Split the bulb into cloves and plant these individually, each clove upright, with the flat base down and pushed into the soil to twice their own depth, spaced at intervals of 6in/15cm.

- Plant autumn or early spring. Split the bulb into cloves and plant them individually, upright, with the flat base down and pushed into the soil to twice their own depth, spaced at intervals of 15cm. Can be grown in containers if kept watered.
Care Tips
Keep the area weed-free until the foliage begins to turn yellow in mid summer when it is ready to lift, dry in the sun and then harvest.
