Atriplex hortensis var. rubra
- Good for Cutting
- Loved by Garden Birds
- Self-sows
A multi-purpose edible and ornamental plant with soft textured, tasty basal leaves in spring and early summer, delicious in salads
I also grow Atriplex hortensis as an ornamental plant, when left to grow to full size, flower and seed it looks beautiful. I then pick it to arrange with dahlias, euphorbias and zinnias or any late summer or autumn flowers.
Please note, illustrated packets are being introduced gradually over the coming months, availability may vary.
