Verbena rigida is the small and more densely flowery version of verbena which flowers for four or five months at a stretch.
I first came across this planted in the rose garden at Sissinghurst – where it is planted in wide drifts - and now love its bright purple flowers which go on and on and on. Highly recommended.
Please note: We would like to advise that these plants have recently been cut back by our nursery to encourage stronger growth. They should still flower this year and will come back even stronger next year.
