Product Description
Tall-growing plants covered with crimson-purple podding peas, which are also good eaten very young and tender as mange touts peas. These are fantastic to look at and good to eat. We had them interspersed with sweet peas this year in the vegetable garden and they looked great. also good for freezing.

Sowing: Plant on at least 2 plantings, the first in March ,(or April on heavy ground), for summer picking, the second in early summer, for picking in the autumn. Push the seeds lightly into the ground, and then rake the soil back over them, marking the rows at both ends. Final Thinning/Planting Distance: Sow in strips with 3 rows of seeds about 4cm apart in each direction. Space rows at least 60cm apart Harvesting: June-September. This variety is beautiful but becomes tough as it ages, so always pick peas young. Regular picking (ideally 2 or 3 times a week) will promote the formation of more pods.
