Dianthus barbatus nigrescens 'Sooty' is a sweet william with scented flowers of the richest maroon chocolate on red stems, with mid green foliage which matures to metallic mahogany. Once your sweet williams have finished flowering cut right back and leave for even better flowers the following year.
