Description

Invaluable for oriental cooking and brilliant for making gingery lemon cordial and tea, subtle vervaine-like ice-cream and - similar to a late summer elderflower - a lemon grass syrup. The syrup itself is wonderful as a cordial and over fresh fruit (particularly melon) and vanilla ice cream.

Care Tips

Divide in early spring. Best grown in a container in a conservatory or greenhouse. Water sparingly in winter.
