Description
An early and long-flowering iris with a good scent, plant it at the front of the border or in a pot for inside or out. Shooting in a pot, this makes a good Christmas present.
A bulb loved by Vita Sackville West for bringing inside in shallow bulb trays early in the year to have on her desk and dining room table – it flowers in February and is priceless for that. We plant lots of these to start off a long bulb flower succession. They're beautiful and successful in pots, at the front of borders, or in grass.
Care Tips
A warm site with good drainage is a must. Alternatively, force on a sunny windowsill to flower in late winter.
