Description
‘Chato’ has been a long-standing favourite — for being a glamorista so early in the season. That’s why I fell on this in a tulip trial field in 2019 and added it to our trial last year. Even more dazzling than ‘Chato’, like all the doubles, this flowers for a good five weeks and earns its keep five times over. I truly love it.

Tulip petals are all edible. We scatter them over salad and use some petals dipped in tempura batter and served with a spring garden Frito Misto. Tulip 'White Valley' is a favourite for this.
Care Tips
After flowering leave the foliage to die back naturally if you want to reuse the bulbs.
