- Cultivation
- Sow under cover in Feb-March. Sow thinly and cover lightly. Once seedlings have two 'true' leaves, pot on into individual pots and grow on in cooler temperatures. Harden off and plant out after last frosts, 30cm apart. Can sow direct in late spring.
Care Tips
Sweet mace is thought to be a good companion plant which deters aphids. It prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Keep picking or deadheading to extend the flowering season.
