Cultivation
Plant the small, unusual tubers known as claws 5cm (2in) deep and 10cm (4in) apart, 'eyes' up and claws facing down. Grow in a sheltered position and protect from strong and cold winds.

Description

The bicolour, crinkled 'Friandine White Picotee' and rich, crimson double flowers of 'Pauline Violet' are an excellent pairing for the garden or vase.

Care Tips

Soak the claws for 12 hours prior to planting. Plant into pots to grow-on in a glasshouse until the danger of frost has passed. In warmer areas they can be planted directly in the ground, but we would advise using a cloche for overnight protection.
