Description
A magnificent Japanese Hydrangea that was awarded 'Flower of the Year' at a previous RHS Chelsea Flower Show. From early summer to early autumn enjoy large and abundant clusters of white, double-petalled, tiered florets, with each petal edged in deep pink. Unlike many other mophead varieties, the blooms stay almost exactly the same colour regardless of the soil's pH level. The flowers stand out beautifully against the dark reddish tinted foliage which becomes deeper in colour with more sunlight. A compact selection perfect for smaller gardens, containers, and the vase.
Care Tips
This shrub does best in partial shade, but can grow in sun if the soil remains moist. Can be grown in containers in a soil-based compost.
