Description

A humble and unobtrustive plant for much of the year, this shrub really comes into its own in the autumn. Its bright pink-red foliage (previously green in spring and summer,) seems to shine and is perfect for providing autumn colour. The small green flowers turn into purple-red fruit, followed by winged lobes containing orange seeds.

Care Tips

Only minimal pruning is needed, removing dead or diseased branches in late winter or early spring. Dig a hole that will accommodate the root ball comfortably and, to aid establishment, sprinkle Rootgrow into the base before planting.
