- Sow under cover in spring, cover lightly. Keep moist and warm. Pot on into individual modules or pots to grow on in a light, frost-free place. Harden off before planting out in late spring. Very successful from direct sowings April-July.
Care Tips
Prolifically self-sows so you won't need to sow again. Borage is often cited as being a powerful companion plant in the kitchen garden, especially near strawberries, cucumbers, gourds, tomatoes, and cabbage. Its flowers are edible.
