Cut-and-come-again chives with a taste of garlic Decorative white flowers, which our pollinators love.

Garlic chives grow and flower much later than ordinary chives (I'm still picking them in November), so have a succession of both varieties if you have room.

Having no luck so far with these seeds – can't seem to get them to germinate: in May and early June tried direct sowing plus some in a metre of guttering (in polytunnel) plus some in modules (in polytunnel) – all failed to germinate despite best efforts (covered, appropriate moisture level, fairly even temp although there were some pretty cool night temps). As all the other seeds I've purchased this season have shown excellent germination rates (many 100%!) I suppose it must be me, or the conditions, or who knows what. Am going to give them one more try this week – fingers firmly crossed.
