They’re also excellent for taking cuttings, especially from herbs and shrubs.


The deep, narrow cells provide an ideal environment for legumes, encouraging long, healthy root growth. Cuttings also develop stronger, more robust root systems more quickly.


When it’s time to transplant, the Rootrainer opens easily, allowing you to remove plants with minimal root disturbance. Just fill the cells with compost, sow each seed about 2–3 cm deep, and follow the simple instructions included with every set.


The low-maintenance Rootrainer set includes a base tray and capillary matting, helping to retain moisture and reduce the need for frequent watering.
