Tulip 'Red Dragon'
- Good for Cutting
- Perfect for Pots
These colour-saturated Triumphs stopped me in my tracks when I spotted them growing in field in the Netherlands
Growing tall with masses of healthy green foliage the almost lacquered red, goblet shaped flowers make an excellent cut flower.
An exquisite mid-season tulip to plant out en masse. Deadhead and allow the foliage to die back to increase the chances of repeat flowering next year.
Tulip petals are all edible. We scatter them over salad and use some petals dipped in tempura batter and served with a spring garden Frito Misto.
