The Kaleidoscope Garden with Sarah Raven at Rutland Nursery, Oakham

Whether pastel or rich, bright or subtle, Sarah will highlight the best plants for succession and how to combine them to create a harmonious and beautiful garden filled with colour from the start of spring to winter. Sarah and the team in the Perch Hill garden work with 4 garden palettes which between them include every colour, but keep them mainly seperate to create harmonious and beautiful combinations wherever you look. Based on four different garden areas at Perch Hill, Sarah will explain which hold the colour baton in a perfect flower succession relay race so your garden never needs to take a colour and flower dip from March until November. In the afternoon Josie, Head Gardener at Perch Hill will cover practical skills for all you need to know.

• This course is taught by Sarah with assistance from Josie, her head gardener. It is a lecture with slides format, with some practical demos with Josie. You will get a course hand-out covering all the information Sarah teaches on the day
• It is held at Rutland Nursery, Lyndon Road, Manton, Rutland, LE15 8RN
• The day lasts from 10.30am until 3pm - including tea/coffee on arrival (from 10am for 10.30am prompt start), morning tea/coffee break and a lunch too
