Description

With flowers almost twice the size of the usual Christmas rose, I love digging this up to bring inside in a terracotta pot for Christmas, or leaving it outside but picking the flowers to arrange all down the table with ‘Paper White’ narcissus and the first early snowdrops. Sear the stem ends in boiling water to make it last.

Care Tips

Plant in moist but well-drained soil in partial shade, incorporating plenty of organic matter into the planting area. Mulch annually in the autumn. Remove faded foliage as the flowers appear.
