essential narcissi
Narcissi are super tolerant of almost any site and situation, and very reliable, with clumps getting bigger and better each year. Our extensive range features the very best tried and tested varieties for beautiful, scented early spring cheer
Delightful Narcissus Collection
Delightful is the right description of all three of these narcissus, the most delicate and prettiest of over fifty varieties we had growing in the garden here last spring. They are perfect for pots of all shapes and sizes and each naturalise well in sun or dappled shade in the border or grass
Narcissus 'Charming Lady'
Delicious stephanotis perfume, and beautiful pink-grapefruit coloured trumpets, these last unusually well for daffs in a vase
Narcissus 'Frosty Snow'
I almost always choose petite and delicate narcissi but I loved the spring meringue look of these more classic sized daffs, not in yellow but ivory and truly lovely with it
Narcissus 'Topolino'
This spectacular giant mauve globe allium follows on from Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation' in its flowering season, genuinely getting bigger and better every year
Narcissus 'Starlight Sensation'
This narcissus was trialled in the Perch Hill garden to flower this spring and there wasn’t a person who wasn’t blown away by it
Bedside Table Collection
Soft, romantic, scented and pretty — the loveliest selection from our narcissus for cut flower trial. Arranged here in our pumpkin vase with amelanchier (as pictured) just as they are planted in our Dutch Yard
Dutch Yard Narcissus Collection
We have cracked narcissus for picking and narcissus for grass, so last year, we did a big trial of daffs (of the more delicate kinds) for pots. These were the winning Beauty Queens, many fragrant, some strong colours, some soft, some tall, some short
Narcissus 'Pink Charm'
Fragrant, fashionably peachy, showy, but not too much, we chose this one from many in our apricot/peach narcissi trials in spring 2019. It as an all-round doer and great for picking
Narcissus 'Precocious'
I’ve stopped looking at narcissi as only the pure and elegant Tazettas and rather love the new breed of these Tudor-ruff style, showy new ones, in anything from amber to pink-grapefruit tones. so fashionable in floristry right now
Narcissus 'Blushing Lady'
With the most delicious perfume, these narcissi have joined my favourites list of multi-headed, long vase life varieties, good for the cutting garden and lovely and delicate naturalising in grass
Perch Hill Drive Narcissus Collection
Lining both sides of the drive at Perch Hill, our favourite narcissus for flowering for much of spring. From 50 bulbs planted 5 years ago, there are now good drifts which will only get better year-on-year
