This is quite simply, the best possible poppy you can grow.
'Champagne Bubbles' way out-stripped all others in our Perch Hill trial. It comes in a beautiful mix of white, pink, yellow and various tones of orange. Flowering on and off for over six months, with great chiffon cup flowers which last well once cut. I absolutely love it. These can be tricky to get to planting-out stage, so let us do that for you.

Papaver nudicaule 'Champagne Bubbles Mix' F1 reviews
Reviewed 2nd August 2019 by Bernice Delivery fine. Grew and overwintered well. Still flowering well now. |
Reviewed 1st August 2019 by Mr Brown Service was good BUT I have had zero germination I will continue to leave in the mist unit. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Sue Ok but nothing fantastic. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Adrian Produced a lot of colour over a long period. No failures. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Clare Only one seed germinated, last year they were superb. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Francis No stars they died, had to reorder |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Ms Hayes 2 of 5 survived - this was 2nd delivery of same order of which all 5 failed. Less than 3rd of allium plants survived but tulip bulbs in pots were good. So underimpressed I’m afraid we have unsubscribed the site. That doesn’t appeared to have worked either. We were very disappointed. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Sheryl Very poor seed success, a couple popped up but then vanished. I won’t be purchasing these again. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Janet They arrived well-packaged but never took! Even my dahlias tuber never sprouted, and I normally have quite good luck with them. Gutted because I was really looking forward to having Icelandic poppies this year (and because they were quite expensive). |
Reviewed 21st November 2018 by Rebecca Only one plant produced flowers, very little growth. Very disappointing. Had a tray of plants from the market that were fabulous and flowered all summer so it wasn’t that they were not watered. I will not be buying from you again. |
Reviewed 15th November 2018 by Carol Very weak seedlings which, even after potting on, didn't survive. |

Reviewed 12th October 2018 by Roger disappointed with these as they have not flowered as well as expected. Seedlings were healthy enough but won't bother with these again, perhaps it was me! Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for leaving your review. Sorry to hear your Papaver were disappointing, if you would like to discuss this further please contact our Customer Services team at info@sarahraven.com." Posted 7th November 2018 |
Reviewed 11th October 2018 by Catherine The plants themselves have been excellent and very colourful all summer (they are still flowering). However, they arrived all too promptly and inconveniently just as we were leaving on holiday. It would have been good if there was an obvious date customers could select for delivery. I didn't notice that option when ordering. I had to work very hard with them on return from holiday to restore them ready for planting out. |
Reviewed 3rd October 2018 by Clifford I THINK I HAVE LOST ALL THE PLANTS NOT GOOD FOR THE COST Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for your review. We care very sorry to hear that your papaver failed to grow and have refunded you for them." Posted 7th November 2018 |
Reviewed 14th September 2018 by Janice Unfortunately they gave a very poor showing - only about two thrived and the blooms were sparse. Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:"Thank you for leaving your review. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your Papaver and have refunded you for them." Posted 7th November 2018 |
Reviewed 3rd September 2018 by Jill The colours were strong but the plants flopped, were high maintenance and a couple of them died. |
Reviewed 2nd September 2018 by Helen Great colours, but they suffered in the hot, dry summer. Not as many flowers as I'd expected but maybe I should have watered them more. |

Bought Papaver, Eccremocarpus Scaber, the Seville collection planted them together with bronze fennel and deep purple salvia then sprinkled the Sarah Raven cottage garden mix through in my front garden and have been overwhelmed by the response of passers by and neighbours. Even had 3 people taking photos which has never happened before! |
Reviewed 29th August 2018 by Adrian Flowered profusely for a long time - very pleased with purchase |
Fantastic Champagne Bubbles!
Reviewed 1st July 2018 by Claire D Parini What a joy these have been - never seen so many flowers from individual seedlings. They have made a wonderful show and every time I have walked past them, they have brought a smile to my face. Will definitely buy more for next year, to plant in other areas of the garden. |
Beautiful flowers

I'm so happy with my order of Champagne Bubbles jumbo seedlings. The whole process of choosing the plants through to having them delivered was great. The plants were packaged very well and in excellent health. In less than a month they are beginning to flower, with a few orange and a white one bloomed today. As a bit of an experiment, I have planted some into my garden that has heavy clay, and also some in a large pot. I should have bought more as they are definitely happy flowers that make you smile. |
