No plant is more loved by pollinators than Echinops. It's continually busy with butterflies and bees and flowers for months. It makes an excellent cut flower too

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow 2mm deep into moist well-drained compost. Choose a seed tray or root trainer which is quite deep. Sow seed 3cm apart as they require plenty of space.
Care Tips Deadhead to prevent self-seeding. Cut down to the ground after flowering to encourage a second flush of flowers. Prefers well drained poor soils.
