Genus Narcissus
Variety Erlicheer
Type Houseplant
Border Position Indoor (Frost Free)
Bulb Size 15/17
Soil Type Broad Tolerance
Site Indoors
Moisture Well-drained
Height 45cm (18in)
Spacing Plant the bulbs just below the soil surface, pointy end up with 5-8cm (2-3in) between each bulb.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting These bulbs have been specially prepared for growing indoors. For best results, plant as soon as possible after arrival but if you do not want to plant them straight away, we recommend keeping them somewhere cool and dark (like an outdoor shed or garage) at around 8-15°C before planting. You may notice a small green shoot coming out of the bulb when you receive them, this is the first sign of growth and should not be removed. Use a loam-based compost, lightened with some grit, place the bulb with its pointy tip just below the soil surface, and fill in around it. Keep the compost moist but not dripping wet.
Care Tips Plant anytime from August-November. Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm deep with 8-10cm between each bulb in borders (less in containers). After flowering deadhead but allow leaves to die back naturally to give the bulbs strength for the following year.
Flowering Once shoots are 4-5cm tall, bring them inside the house and they will flower in about 4-6 weeks.

18 bulbs out of 20 were usable, 1 was basically just dust. They grew well, but only 2 flowered - very disappointing unfortunately

These were planted later than intended due to mouldy bulbs in the first batch (SR kindly replaced) so planted later than intended. Just beginning to flower and glad I followed instructions regarding using twiggy support; subtle scent at present which should improve once more open.
