Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Plant in a cool, semi-shady part of the garden. Avoid exposed east-facing sites, where cold winds may damage young spring growth. Dry sunny spots are also best avoided. Work plenty of organic matter into the soil prior to planting and sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi into the base of the planting hole, firm in and water well until established. |
Care Tips | Remove faded flowerheads in spring after the danger of frosts, cutting back the flowered stems to a strong pair of buds and take out misplaced or diseased shoots. Prune to the ground for a shorter, sturdier plant or less harshly for a taller plant. |

Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' reviews
Reviewed 19th September 2019 by Elisabeth Arrived in good condition in spring and has put on a lot of growth since. The stems are quite lax, so nod down with the weight of the flower heads, but this seems normal for young Annabelle hydrangeas. |
Reviewed 6th August 2019 by Kathryn The plant is very healthy and growing well. Love it. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Clare This has been an excellent purchase and I have had lots of beautiful flowers in the first year |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Helen The plant has survived and has two flowers but is rather spindly. I am hoping it will be stronger next year. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Mrs Kidd Sadly did not survive transition from pot to garden , despite wonderful soil and attention of professional Gardenet . Very disappointing. |

Service was good but i'm sorry to say I have 2 hydrangeas that were poor quality did not last I had been given one as a apology for a mess up of an order |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Barbara Did not survive when received not looking good in package but tried and it died |
Reviewed 19th June 2019 by Carol The plant is strong and healthy. Planted it in a semi shady position as seen in my friends garden but disappointingly hasn't flowered yet. Early days. I will give it a couple of seasons, then move it if necessary, in the meantime it fills a space with green foliage. |
