Perfectly pale pink - and huge
Reviewed 29th April 2018 by Heather McSherry I planted these beauties in two small turquoise ceramic pots with a handful of miniature lemon narcissi into a compost and gravel mix with a few comfrey pellets thrown in. What a delightful combination. I underestimated the size of the hyacinths - huge, fat, tall, robust, perfectly formed, in the most delicate shade of pink. I ended up cutting them after nearly a couple of weeks in full bloom to save them from overcrowding/ staking, and enjoyed a few more days of their scent indoors. Then I planted out the remainder of the containers as a cluster in a border with fingers crossed for Spring 19. Already on my wish list for Autumn 18 - in bigger numbers and larger pots. Best hyacinths I've ever planted, or indeed seen in 'professional' gardens. |
