The mix of soft lime and gentle orange-peach makes this a super-versatile flower which seems to go with almost everything. It’s lovely with crisp white and just as beautiful lighting up dark rich reds and crimsons.
An exciting new cut flower and container filler and a new addition to the ‘Queeny Lime’ series, which thrive in our damper, greyer climate. This came out top in our trials last summer along with ‘Queeny Lime Red’ (a favourite now for two or three years).

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Zinnias can be sown indoors in modules (since they dislike root disturbance), in a propagator, greenhouse or on a windowsill. Pot on into 7.5cm pots once the roots have filled each module and plant out from mid-May. Sow direct May-June, later than most half-hardies as zinnias hate cold nights. Pinch out the tips when the plants have 3-5 pairs of leaves, to encourage branching and more flower production. Best grown in fertile, humus-rich, and well-drained soil, in full sun. |
Care Tips | Picking or deadheading is necessary to prolong blooming and encourage branching. Plants are best supported with individual stakes to prevent flopping. Zinnias have a tendency to botrytis (a reason to think of using Copper Mixture or Sulphur) especially during damp, cool weather. |
