Reusable trays filled with coir pellets. Soak the pellets and, sow your seeds and, once germinated, remove the netting and plant out.
Choose from: Small (Dia.30mm), or Large (Dia.50mm).Why peat free?
Peat extraction threatens our pollinators, who depend on peatland to survive. Peat-free compost is made using recycled materials, and does not disturb the essential peatland that has taken centuries to form.

Not very satisfied - too small, needed continual watering. Tricky to get off outer mesh without losing seedling roots. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Jayne I tried them, they work well for certain seeds but prefer trays and pots, so won't use them again. |
Reviewed 6th June 2019 by Aileen I would have ben better with small trays of 12 jiffy pellets. That said, my seeds loved them |
Reviewed 3rd June 2019 by Christine We have found that the socks/pots holding the coir together have restricted root growth. In future we will return to the more conventional methods of propagation. |
Reviewed 3rd June 2019 by Christine As above, will not use again. |

Reviewed 31st May 2019 by Heather Tray very useful for further supplies of pellets, although if only you could have used paper instead of plastic! |
Reviewed 31st May 2019 by Heather The service and delivery were exceptional. |
Reviewed 31st May 2019 by Susan I thought they were okay but I think I prefer seed trays. |

Watering takes just a jiffy
Reviewed 11th September 2018 by Ann Stephens These trays have holes in them, I presume, so you can sit them on wet capillary mats .. and then the seedlings water themselves .. brilliant. At least that’s what I do. It would be great if SR sold self watering trays to fit .. As they do at Two West’s in various sizes. I have had to do a Heath Robinson job myself with a deep tray, raised cake trivet, a piece of wet mat and the jiffy tray and seedlings on top. The water is carried , by a wet mat wick, from the deep tray which is topped up at intervals. It works but it would be nice to have a proper one! |
Jiffy Trays
Reviewed 10th March 2018 by Jon Rowles Be aware that the trays have holes in - so they are more of a cartridge holder - and are designed to sit in a large green house tray. Would be nicer if they had a solid base so they could be used in more locations. |
Coir Jiffys
Reviewed 6th March 2015 by Judie bidwell Awesome.......as the younger generation would say! As a disabled gardener these made planting my cosmos seeds an absolute doddle. I will most definitely use these again. They saved all the elbow grease from mixing compost and filling pots. Brilliant. |
