I love this trio of very highly scented, brilliant pink sweet peas. Pick a huge bunch to burst out of any vase, picking some of the tendrils too, making the whole thing more three-dimensional.

Soil Type Broad Tolerance
Scent Scented
Site Full Sun
Moisture Moist but Well-drained
Height 1.8m (6ft)
Spacing Plant out, 2 plants to a vertical support, 15cm (6in) apart in a mild spell in March-May.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow October-December or January-April, 2 seeds into 1 rootrainer. When roots fill container, pot on 2 seedlings together into a 1 litre pot. Pinch out tips when plants have 4 pairs of leaves. If autumn sown, overwinter in a light, cool place. Sweet peas often have a hard seed coat so it may help to soften the seed before sowing. Do this by placing seeds on damp kitchen paper and putting somewhere warm until seeds swell or sprout. You can also make a small nick in the seed coat to help moisture enter the seed before sowing.
Care Tips Remove the climbing tendrils as they grow. Tie the stem into your framework on a regular basis. Can be grown in deep container pots up a climbing frame. Find out how to cordon train your sweet pea in Sarah's how-to guide.
Flowering May - September
Vase Life 4-5 days. Avoid direct sunlight and heat. This has a beautiful scent.
Harvesting Keep picking as often as you can.

The brighter sweet peas are not as colourful; their blooms do not seem to be as true to the description of them as the pastel coloured ones

Arrived first week of April 2 weeks earlier than advised so caught me out a bit. Very tiny seedlings. Growing in pots in a very sunny sheltered position. First bloomed mid June. Unfortunately the colours are not those shown in the collection (4 colours not 3 and one very dark) but Sarah Raven reimbursed me.

Whilst I thought that the sweet pea seedlings were expensive they have given us a large number of flowers for the house, far far more with longer stems than from the much cheaper plants purchased over previous years. On some pickings we have three bunches of 50 plus per bunch, then more the next day. A great purchase will definitely purchase again and would recommend to other gardeners

These plants arrived in very good condition and flowered well at the beginning of the summer. Sadly, in spite of daily watering they eventually succumbed to fungus and shrivelled up. This wasn't exactly a normal summer so I am not taking stars off for that!
Normally they would have lasted me into the autumn.

I love your sweet peas and buy the plugs for family and friends for Christmas or as a special thank you. This year the stems were not as long as usual. I was in Hospital for three weeks during that hot dry weather. My friends watered them intermittently but I think that was the reason. The scent was gorgeous and they enjoyed picking them when I was away!
The Service as usual was excellent and the purchasing. I have always found your Secretaries most helpful and polite.
