A white-mauve cosmos whose petal edges look as though they have been painted in a deep purple-carmine. My new-found favourite cosmos for scattering through white Cosmos 'Purity' or Malope trifida 'Alba' for a splash of contrast.

Variety | Fizzy Rose Picotee (syn. Psyche Rose Picotee) |
Type | Half-Hardy Annual |
Common Name | Cosmos |
Border Position | Cutting Garden |
Soil Type | Broad Tolerance |
Scent | Unscented |
Site | Full Sun |
Moisture | Moist but Well-drained |
Height | 90cm (36in) |

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Sow under cover in mid spring and plant out after last frosts, or direct sow early May. Grow seedlings on in individual pots or modules until large enough to plant out. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 7-10 days before transplanting into the garden after all risk of frost has passed. |
Care Tips | Pinch out tips at 15-20cm to encourage bushier plants. Stake and tie Cosmos plants if necessary during the growing season, water regularly and dead-head to prolong the flowering season. |
Flowering | July - October |
Vase Life | 7-10 days, no conditioning needed. Pick fresh straight into water, just as the buds are about to bloom, and do not pick in the heat of the day. Deadhead the main blooms that are drooping and going over after about a week. Place out of direct sunlight. |

Cosmos bipinnatus 'Fizzy Rose Picotee' reviews
Reviewed 5th August 2019 by Ruth 1 of the 5, was not Psyche Rose picotee, but plain dark red.and were also sent out too early |
Reviewed 1st August 2019 by Valerie Service excellent. This item did less well in the garden compared to other cosmos and some plants failed altogether. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by MARILYN Not quite the same quality as the seedlings I was given by a friend. A bit weak. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Gillian Germination was a bit erratic but plants developed well and are now flowering prolifically. Flowers are variable in colour and form, but all attractive |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Jane The first speedlings were quite poor your customer service team replaced them with out any fuss the next ones were much better |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Wendy Beautiful , I'm most definitely going to buy more next year |

Am not that good a gardener and not quite sure what to expect having never grown them before but even with my poor skills managed t get an impressive display and would expect to do even better next year. If you are at my level of (in)competence two tips: |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Janet Loved this cosmos. Good germination. Some of the plants are a bit spindly. Blooms seem to vary in shade but always a nice surprise seeing them when they open. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Louise Flowered ok but not as prolific as Purity |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Chris High germination rate, easy to grow, lovely flowers. |
Reviewed 7th November 2018 by Helen Fantastic service, delivery and plants. Growing well and still flowering in late October. |
Reviewed 3rd October 2018 by Dave First time I have planted this variety of Cosmos. Plants were excellent but didn't meet my expectations with regards form and structure. |

Really pretty
Reviewed 19th August 2016 by Queen of Carthage I'm delighted with these lovely flowers, grown from seed. They have grown into vigorous plants covered in flowers which are great for cutting - they look particularly good in a vase with Cosmos Click Cranberry. |
