More Details

A fabulous, exciting and new hydrangea with a lot going for it. Its lace-cap flowers cover a spectrum of colour from pale and dusky pink through to deep blue-mauve, and they glow beautifully with a blue haze at dusk.

The flower colour is consistent on any soil – they're not pH dependent. Its large, pointed, felted leaves have a chocolate-brown reverse, providing interest before flowering. Hydrangea Aspera will perform well in a north-facing or shaded spot and on any soil.

The plant was very weak and never picked up, eventually dying, which was a great shame as I was looking forward to seeing it flower.

Unfortunately despite planting immediately with root powder the plant appears dead! I also find the fact that I am unable to select a chosen delivery day ( even if I was willing to pay extra) and the fact that our postman refuses to leave the plants in a safe place if I am out means I run the risk to plants being returned to the sorting office to sit all weekend.
