Care Tips Don’t plant tulips until the cold weather has set in - this helps wipe out viral and fungal diseases. Dip the bulbs in Bulb Starter when planting and mulch with manure. Leave the browning foliage on your tulips until every leaf has died right down; this allows the bulb to store more food.
Flowering March - April
Vase Life Tulips make supreme cut flowers. Strip the bottom leaves, tie the stems in paper and soak for 8 hrs. This helps keep the stems straight.

These flowered right on time and looked good beneath my orchard trees with the other spring flowers. Hopefully they will come again next year.

I had assumed these would be the poorer cousins of the showier style of tulips but these tulips were hands down the best in my garden- so much more elegant and long-lasting than I was expecting. I can't wait for them to spread!
