A new narcissus discovery last year recommended to me by my Dutch bulb friend expert, Carien Van Boxtel. She has introduced me to more exciting and unusual bulbs than anyone. Come to her bulbs for naturalising course at Perch Hill on 23rd September.

| Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm (4-6in) inches deep with three to four inches (8-10cm) between each bulb. Plant anytime from August-November. They are very tolerant bulbs. |

| Vase Life | Narcissi make great cut flowers lasting up to a week in the vase. I love them jumbled up in large jugs on the table. Be careful mixing with other flower types as their stems give off a compound that is toxic to other flowers. Leave their stems in warm water for an hour before arranging, to stop the 'goo' from running out. |
