February - seeds to sow now

For the cutting patch sow sweet peas, cosmos, poppies, cornflowers, cobaea, ammi and snapdragons as well as various other hardy annuals - all sown undercover.

In the kitchen garden you can start your fruiting veg like tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergines on heated propagators and there's lots of hardy herbs and salads to plant now as well as the first of your potatoes for early crops and broad beans.
