Fritillaria 'Raddeana' is a very unusual and rarely seen crown imperial that is shorter than the bright yellow and orange types, with soft cream limelight blooms deepening to a more intense limey yellow as the blooms mature

This hardy naturalising perennial is ideal for growing in grass or borders, but for a real indulgence drop them into a large luxurious container collection.

Plant the bulbs with the point facing upwards, 10cm deep approx 20-30cm apart. Protect new growth from slugs and snails. Once they have finished flowering, leave them to die back naturally to help bulk up the bulbs for next year.

Care Tips

A deep planting will make stronger plants less likely to snap and more reliably perennial. Position on a bed of grit, on their side and backfill with plenty of grit to aid drainage.
