Description
Well, this is a rose that really has it all. Dark, red to purple petals tinged with paler pink on the reverse, it blooms all summer long without interruption. Naturally disease-resistant, with a delicate perfume, it’s the perfect addition to beds and borders, as well as pots and containers. Superb in our trials.
All rose petals are edible. As you might expect, they have a mild, floral taste and can be used to decorate cakes, puddings or baking. They are also a beautiful, scented addition to jugs of iced cordial or summer cocktails.
Care Tips
Before planting bare root roses, soak roots in a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. Dig a hole that will accommodate the root ball comfortably and, to aid establishment, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base before planting.
