- Plant 5-10cm (2-4in) deep and a similar distance apart in autumn.
- The small bulbs should be spaced 5-8cm (2-3in) apart. Plant the bulb with its base 13cm (5in) below the soil surface.
An early bloomer, this flowers long and hard for most of spring, perfect for naturalising under shrubs, hedges and trees to merge into a glowing river of soft blue.
Avoid overcrowding as they like their space, and will naturalise areas under trees and shrubs if left undisturbed. They do well in pots too.
