- Direct sow in spring into soil that is firm and not too wet or recently manured. Sow thinly 1cm deep in rows 30cm apart. Thin to 10cm apart for medium sized bulbs, or more if you want to let them grow larger. May be sown earlier under cover.
Care Tips
Water during dry spells. Weed between plants regularly to keep on top of weeds. Thinnings can be used as salad onions.
