Direct sow in small batches every 4-6 weeks, March-early September. Can also sow in modules under cover February-September but avoid the hottest weeks.

Description

Stunning in a mixed leaf salad bowl, with sweet tasting leaves and a good crunchy texture, I love Cos ‘Freckles’ for sowing and growing almost all year. We find this one of the hardiest lettuces for growing under glass or cloches through the winter, as well as in the main growing season.

Care Tips

The plants need plenty of water, but not too much sun. Hot weather increases the likelihood of them going to seed.
