Like my mother’s bathing hat when I was a child, ‘Skyfall’ is a splendid new hydrangea whose colour morphs from green, to vanilla, to soft pink and then crimson before it finally browns — and even at that stage, with its highly cut and sculptural flowers, it’s a beauty!

Care Tips

To enhance flowering prune hard in early spring, cut back the previous season's shoots to within a few buds of the permanent, woody framework of the plant.
