Snowdrops are one of the first signs that spring is on its way, and this is one of the earliest, braving to bloom in January and February. It’s distinguishable from other snowdrops by slightly larger flowers which have two green spots on the inner petals, and tall, grey-green foliage.
Divide when plants are in the green (just after flowering and before the leaves yellow). Dig deep under large clumps to lift then split by hand into smaller clumps and plant at the same depth.
