Cultivation: Sow under cover from late March. Sow seed on edge (not flat) 2-3cm deep in individual pots. Harden off and plant after last frosts, spacing 90cm apart in each direction. Can sow direct from May, two or three seeds per station, thinned to one.

A classic small-holder, organic variety with plentiful production of rich, dark-green fruit, good eaten even when quite big (at 20cm).

Water regularly and feed with tomato feed. Powdery mildew can be a problem during hot, dry spells, the only remedy is to keep the soil moist.
