Autumn is the perfect season for planting out biennials, perennials, shrubs, and climbers. Soils retain some warmth from summer and moisture levels are on the rise thanks to the autumn rains. These conditions are ideal for quick and early root establishment ensuring plants settle in before winter arrives. They will then be off to a flying start next spring with rapid growth and copious amounts of flowers.
Care Tips
Lightly prune the top third of the Clematis in late February or March. Keep the Wisteria well watered, particularly when newly planted and during dry periods. For best flowering, pruning should be done carefully in summer and again in winter.
