Sow in a warm place under cover in pots or modules. May be grown in borders or large pots, in the greenhouse or a sunny sheltered spot outside. Harden off before planting outside in summer and use cloches if nights are cold.

Description

A small to medium-sized aubergine from Italy, which is an early cropper, often ripe, particularly inside from August and so ideal for UK growing. It has long oval, white fruit which are strongly striped with purple.

Care Tips

Better suited to greenhouse production. Pinch out tips at 45cm (18in) and stake. Water well and mist flowers to help fruit set. Feed with high potash until fruits set. Basil is an excellent companion plant.
