The Art of Making a Garden with Sarah Raven at The Amelia Scott, Tunbridge Wells

Join Sarah for a workshop packed with practical know-how. Learn how to grow armfuls of cut flowers and veg the easy way, create flowery colour without chaos and turn your plot into a haven for wildlife. Thirty years of experience shared in one afternoon.

There are three aims that shape everything Sarah teaches, and you’ll get plenty of each in this workshop.

Firstly, production. Whether it’s flowers, salad, herbs or vegetables, abundance is one of the great joys of gardening. Sarah will share what she's learnt on how to succeed the easy way – plus a bit of the science behind it.

Her second aim is a garden filled with colour for as much of the year as possible. If you love a flowery show, Sarah will explain how to achieve that with style and beauty.  She'll give you her top tips and favourite planting combinations, drawn from her landmark garden colour book (out next autumn) and hands-on trials and experimentation.

And her final aim is to enhance nature and do everything she can to help biodiversity – from using local wood products to growing her own bird feeding plants, she's learnt plenty of lessons on supporting the wildlife around us.
