Autumn is the perfect season for planting out biennials, perennials, shrubs, and climbers. Soils retain some warmth from summer and moisture levels are on the rise thanks to the autumn rains. These conditions are ideal for quick and early root establishment ensuring plants settle in before winter arrives. They will then be off to a flying start next spring with rapid growth and copious amounts of flowers.
Care Tips
Deadhead Profusion to encourage further flowering. Cut back the lavender flower spikes in the autumn, but do not cut into the woody stem. Do not overwater, as Lavender dislikes having soggy roots.
