Description
My mother still grows this – 60 years on – lining the entrance path up to her front door. And in large, very low maintenance but magnificent terracotta pots. It’s evergreen, drought resistant, easy to look after (just needing a light prune), with their blue flowers contrasting beautifully to the silvery leaves. I think these beat most lavenders hands down and it is hardier than most rosemaries.
Care Tips
Best grown in a warm, sheltered spot with good drainage. If stems become congested prune in late winter.
