- The seeds need light to germinate, so just lay them on to the soil surface and use a little vermiculite to cover them thinly. Germination can be erratic. If germination does not occur, pop them in the fridge for 2-3 weeks and repeat the process.
Soften the edges of your paths or patio with this quick-to-flower perennial grass which will gently self-sow. Back-lit there are few better quick and easy garden fillers.
Prefers well-drained soil in full sun. Will grow happily anywhere as long as it does not have wet roots in winter.
