Description
The lacy black-crimson leaves and its soft, smokey-pink dome flower put this elder in a class of its own. Its AGM proves it's a cracker. When cooked, the berries (pulp and skin) are also edible. Contact a healthcare professional, dietitian or horticulturalist who can provide more information on this.
Care Tips
Elders are quick to establish in sun or shade and can easily reach 6ft in 2-3 years. To keep in check simply pollard the plant or selectively prune on a yearly rotation to keep the height down.
