- Cultivation
- Sow into a seedbed March-May. When they are pencil thick, transplant into final positions, spacing 15cm apart and 15cm deep. Start earlier under cover and plant out in May for earlier crops and plant closer for slimmer leeks.
Care Tips
When planting seedlings into final position, insert each plant into a hole 15cm deep made with a dibber and water it in. That's what makes the base of the leek white.
