Description
Hakonechloa is a very beautiful grass that glows in shaded areas. The low arching foliage forms mounds that slowly cover the ground below tree canopies that filter out any direct sunlight. They are brilliant ground cover plants and are perfect for softening the edges of a path or growing in a pot. With their vivid yellow and green striated foliage, they look fantastic planted alongside more structural plants with dark foliage, such as English Yew & Box topiary.
Care Tips
A deciduous grass which is hardy and fairly slow growing. Cut back old leaves in late winter once they have lost their appeal.
