Description
A fabulous looking and hugely prolific variety (also known as ‘Biquinho’). Its fruits have a medium heat, it is an easy plant to look after and makes an ideal summer to winter houseplant. The fruits start off pale green before ripening through peach, to orange and then to red. I’ve been pickling these in sherry for an excellent addition to sauces, soups and gravy.
Care Tips
Grow in a greenhouse, in pots or in the ground. If planting outside leave cloche in place for 2 weeks after planting to allow plants to settle in. Support plants with a cane as they grow and feed regularly .
